Metallic Urchin

"Recently I came across a Sea Urchin that washed up onto the shore. I have become more facinated with the ornate structure and detail of their outter shell. Within the shells surface nature has created infinite detail and perfection. I wanted to sculpt and capture the organically detailed structures found in Sea Urchins. Juxtaposing a metallic material with the sculpted organic geometry helped to give each object a sense of tangibility. "
