I am a student currently studying at Kingston university, having just finished my second year on the BA Fine Art and Art History course. I have decided to take this next academic year as an opportunity to gain experience working in galleries in both London and Berlin if possible, continuing with my final year at university in 2022.  I would love to experience working in a gallery space and see the day-to-day workings of different roles. I am especially interested in curation, art handling, archiving and preservation however am unsure what I'd really like to specialise in (as it all looks so interesting!), hence why I'd love to see first-hand how galleries and museums are ran, from the inside.  I have been researching and applying to many different work placements and internships as well as reaching out to galleries and people directly to see if you could recommend any opportunities that run between August - February 2021. As I will still be a Kingston student, I will continue to receive student loan and so this could potentially be an un-paid opportunity if that would be better suited to you, although this would need to be discussed. I am a hardworking, outgoing, bubbly 23-year-old with experience both working within and managing a team, I am always willing and able to pick up new skills and I work well under pressure.
