What is behind some of the world’s most popular electronic music? This course explores the foundations of electronic music and how the software Ableton Live has revolutionised the sound of popular electronic music. You will gain a deeper understanding on how to use Ableton Live to experiment with electronic music and create your own song from scratch. 

Through a series of workshops and group activities you will cover key topics that will advance your skills of using Ableton Live and gain knowledge on the interface, functionalities and structure of a song. You will learn the electronic music genre that has influenced popular music styles including chill out, house, trance, techno, trip-hop and more.  

By the end of the course you will be confident in using Ableton Live to produce your own songs and experiment with musical ideas, making you one step closer to uncovering the working life of producers and a professional DJ.
