72 Dragons is a startup company focused on film and the arts. 72 Dragons Productions Services is currently building out capabilities across software and web design, videography, social media, and graphic design. Our production services provide visual, graphic design, software, event management, installation, and social media support to artists, art galleries, art fairs, and art museums who desire professional art books, art catalogues, graphic design, show design and support, websites, videography, and other visual and event support needed for professional art businesses. 72 Dragons publishes books on paintings, photography and art work and programs a range of printed and digital content around the medium. We have opening for the below positions

72 Dragons is currently looking for a full time Gallery Manager in Shenzhen. Candidates should have excellent communication and organizational skills, must be adept at Microsoft Office and should have a basic knowledge about Photoshop and Art Illustrator. Knowledge of the Arts is a plus but not a prerequisite.

Responsibilities

•     Ensure the smooth running of the gallery
•     Develop and maintain the gallery's remit
•     Maintain ongoing promotion and advertising of the gallery
•     Assess and select artwork
•     Liaise with framers
•     Liaise with visiting artists and negotiate sales
•     Promote and sell artists' work, through both exhibitions and personal contacts
•     Plan, organise, present and market exhibitions and shows, including responsibility for public relations
•     Work closely with individual artists, develop relationships with new artists, and extend relationships with established artist connections
•     Arrange transportation of work to and from the gallery, both nationally and internationally
•     Organise equipment hire and ensure correct installation of the artwork
•     Negotiate with gallery managers and curators from other galleries to arrange for loans
•     Develop and update the gallery website
•     Keep up to date with industry developments and market trends
•     General administration, budgeting, finance and accounts.
