MUSIC AND CULTURAL EDUCATION COORDINATOR

POST: Full Time

Fixed term contract until 31 March 2020 (post will then be subject to review)

SoundStorm and Wave are Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole’s award winning music and cultural education services, hosted within BCP Council, leading the Music Education Hub and Cultural Hub for the conurbation.

We require 2 new members of staff, one full-time and one part-time. The posts are fixed term until 31 March 2020 and will support the team in delivery of its burgeoning programme of work, particularly the delivery of its Music Education Hub remit, plus other ongoing programmes and commissions.

It’s an exciting time to join the team, with a new National Plan for Music Education expected in the autumn, and the recent expansion of activities into Christchurch.

The persons required should have significant project management experience, preferably in a music education or cultural setting, along with an ability to manage a varied programme of work. The posts will involve considerable liaison with schools, partners and funders, so an efficient, personable and positive manner when dealing with stakeholders is essential. Because of the nature of the post, access to a car for business use is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity, joining a busy and friendly team at an important time in its development.

For an informal chat about the post, please phone Dan Somogyi (Team Leader) or Michael Armstrong (SoundStorm Manager) on 01202 451508

Provisional Interviews date: week commencing 8 July 2019
