Digital Designer and Laser Cutter Operator

We have a vacancy for a Digital Designer and Laser Cutter Operator

Job will involve

- Client communication & raising invoices
- Editing/ creating laser ready vector files
- Operating the laser cutter for in-house and client projects
- Developing Sketch Laser own brand laser cut products
- Monitoring stock levels/ filling out purchase orders when necessary
- Maintaining the Sketch Laser Cutting website (photographs and product descriptions)
- Promotion (Contacting new clients, monitoring Google ads, creating social media content)

Essential Requirements

- Excellent Adobe illustrator / 2D CAD design skills (specifically vector files)
- An understanding of laser cutting (full training on the machine will be given)
- Excellent time and personal management, you will often be working on multiple tasks per day with tight deadlines - Impeccable attention to detail
- Excellent email/ telephone communication
- Creativity and a positive can-do attitude
- Good with numbers (for calculating quotes & generating invoices)

Desirable

- Design or product based degree or equivalent experience (product design/ graphic design/ fashion/ jewellery/ interior design/ architecture etc.)
- SEO/ social media experience
- Customer service/ customer facing experience

- Hours: Full time
- Pay: Starting at £18.7k per annum
- Location: South Bermondsey/ New Cross Gate
