Call for Department Heads & Technicians

About: Producers are seeking Department Heads & Technicians for work on an upcoming international immersive theatre production opening autumn 2020.

Location: The Production will open and play in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.  

Dates: Contract: 1st September – 7th December 2020. (Tentative, start & end date may shift + 4 weeks, to be confirmed). Possibility to extend performances additional 4 weeks.

Benefits: All international air travel, (private room) housing, visas, local Saudi transportation, 3 meals per day/ 7 days per week will be provided.  

Salary: £1,000- £3,000 ($1,246-$3,738) Per Week. *Contracts are issued in £GBP.

Technicians: Assistant Stage Manager, Assistant Company Manager, Casting Assistant, Sound Technician, Special Effects Technician, Rigging, Automation, Lighting Technician, HairDresser, Wardrobe Dresser, Wardrobe Supervisor,

Requirements: 

Applications open to residents/ citizens of The United States of America, The United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia. Must have current passport, valid through April 2021.

International Tour, Cruise Ship, National Tour, Circus, Broadway/ West End experience strongly preferred. 

Experience in large scale immersive productions required. 

Bilingual (Arabic/ English) strongly preferred but not required. 

Must be available for the entire length of contract. 

Applicants must be able to work as a team, lending support to all departments as needed.

Applicants must have a strong work ethic, initiative, and a ‘get it done’ attitude. Superior quality of work, and pride in your position is essential.

 Prior to contract, you must submit to a full background, and drug screening, provide proof of residency, proof of nationality (including birth certificate) and proof of eligibility to work within your country of residence (UK, US, Saudi Arabia). Work visas for Saudi Arabia will be provided. 

Successful applicants must sign and adhere to a strict Cultural Rider which prohibits various activities which are illegal under Saudi law, including the consumption of alcohol.  

You will be required to assist in cross department set up, removal and maintenance of the production. You will be required to lift at least 25kg, and must be capable and willing to exert physical effort consistent with these activities. 

A medical and fitness-for-duty exam will be required.
