Executive Director of Brooklyn-Based Dance-Theatre-Media Company

The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for leading New Brooklyn Theatre and the feath3r theory in a manner that supports our mission.  The ED will raise and manage the funds of the organization.  Through grant writing, fundraising, and donor cultivation, the ED will increase the operating capacity of the organization.  The ED will project and track budgets, in partnership with the Artistic Director, as well as maintain bookkeeping, records, and payroll of the organization.   The ED will approve contracts and communicate with outside entities on behalf of New Brooklyn Theatre and the feath3r theory.  Compensation commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities of the Executive Director include but are not limited to:

-Design, develop, and implement fundraising strategies through individual donor cultivation, planning events (including the annual gala), and direct mail and digital campaigns

-Supervise and collaborate with organization staff

-Write and report grants in concert with the Artistic Director

-Directly report to the Board of Directors

-Sign all agreements made and entered into on behalf of the organization
