DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
● Take a direct leadership role in the organization’s development programs, including its annual fund-raising efforts, endowment, capital and planned giving. 
● Direct and manage all aspects of the organization’s operations, office and administration and ensure that patrons, and other community members have a firstclass experience any time they interact with the organization’s staff and members. 
● Ensure that the organization is effectively structured and staffed with competent persons whether they be paid or volunteer and provide job performances on a regular basis and as requested by the BOD. 
● Develop an annual budget and business plan for presentation to the BOD, monitor and maintain fiscal responsibility for the organization’s overall budget and ensure the most effective use of financial resources 
● Implement and monitor a long-term strategic and short-term operating plan in coordination with the BOD, AD and staff and assume responsibility for its management and implementation, reporting progress towards goals to the BOD monthly.  
● Develop high-quality programming for all ages and build a distinctive brand that attracts and retains audiences and performers and seek to include members of the community’s various multicultural groups and people of all ages. 
● In partnership with the AD create and execute plans to ensure a systematic, valuesbased approach to outreach and education and develop strategic relationships with local and regional partners 
● Partner with AD to communicate the work and mission of the organization to the public through the media and at public speaking engagements and through all necessary media, as needed, including social media. 
● Provide support to best utilize the talents and resources of the BOD, stimulate involvement, recruit new members an work closely with the BOD to ensure strong leadership infrastructure to maintain long-term organization success.

● Strong written and oral communication skills, including business and casual writing and public speaking as you will be the spokesperson for the LCAC 
 
● Management skills including experience with senior staff supervision, managing nonprofit budgets and planning processes 
 
● Development skills including successful fundraising 
 
● A great sense of humor 
 
● B.A, M.F.A, or relevant degree and 10+-year work experience in senior leadership roles in a non-profit community arts center.
