BRAND + MARKETING MANAGER

Textile Design and Product Development Studio in the East Village seeking a Brand and Marketing Manager to design and implement written and visual marketing materials for individual textile and flooring brands.

Understand and effectively communicate brand message using verbal, visual, and written forms of communication

Design and Implement Marketing Collateral, including:

  • Manage marketing timelines for new launches
  • Design and write copy for launch packages and product romances
  • Create presentations introducing each collection to sales team
  • Develop color narratives and communicate direction for photoshoots and ads
  • Track products for photography, and communication with external PR and branding companies
  • Image selection for marketing collateral, including print materials, website, and editorial images
  • Create and manage editorial deadlines, contest and award submissions, including product packages
  • Develop educational sales props for new launches to convey product narrative and illustrate process.
  • Manage and contribute to launch sample rotations and product marketing vignettes.

Manage website updates with new launches; manage domain account

  • Develop collateral for website including regular launch updates and blog posts

Developments of CEUs, lectures, talks

Oversee social media accounts

  • Generate and organize content for multiple social media platforms
  • Collaborate with clients, provide social media content and direction

Manage and update contact lists

  • Develop and deploy newsletter content
  • Develop and deploy press kits

Contribute to design charrettes

  • Create trend reports on color, texture, pattern – distill concepts to clear ideas
  • Work with team to provide content to pattern design and marketing materials

Manage Principal’s fine art business

  • Organizing photography, brand messaging, marketing collateral
  • Creating contact sheets, becoming familiar with work for talks and publication needs

REQUIREMENTS

  • BFA/Design background.  Some textile experience preferred
  • 2 to 3 years job experience in product design or related field
  • Knowledge of A&D/contract interiors
  • Discerning eye and interest/knowledge of trends in a variety of design fields, including interiors, architecture, fashion, and industrial design
  • Ability to think conceptually and make connections between design and cultural phenomena
  • Strong ability to communicate through writing and graphic expression
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office including Powerpoint
  • Ability to understand and connect multiple product needs across moving timelines
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self motivated worker that enjoys working in a close-knit team environment
