Position:  Teaching Assistant (Temporary/Independent Contractor)

Department: Community Engagement - Adaptive Dance Program, Cherry Hill, New Jersey

Description:  

The Pennsylvania Ballet Community Engagement is looking for a Temporary Teaching Assistant to join us for the Spring Session of Adaptive Dance.  The class will include students ages 5-11 and 12-16 with Down Syndrome in Cherry Hill, NJ.   The Teaching Assistant will support the ballet instructor by assisting with behavior management and helping students participate in class.  The rate is $25 per hour/$650.00 total for the Spring Session.  Qualified candidates with a passion for making the joy of dance accessible to everyone, are encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

Must be present at all classes

Must be currently studying or have a degree in physical therapy, dance therapy

Must have experience working with students with Down Syndrome

Must have PA State Background Check, Child Abuse, and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances

Schedule:

Saturdays, 1-2 pm, 2-3 pm

Position will be finished upon completion of Spring Session with the opportunity to reapply for future assistant Positions.
