Queens Arts Fund Manager

Position: Queens Arts Fund Manager
Reports to: Executive Director
Job Summary: Responsible for supervising all phases of the Queens Arts
Fund

Duties & Responsibilities
● Facilitate the grants panel review process
● Develop guidelines, informational handbooks and application materials
● Supervise accurate databases, background files and reports
● Organize QAF Advisory Committee in developing year-round programs of direct
financial and technical assistance to the cultural community
● Disseminate QAF information for community engagement efforts to increase the
awareness of QAF to new artists and community based organizations
● Manage online e-grant system
● Oversee communication efforts for QAF
● Provide technical assistance in public application seminars to potential applicants
in the development of grant requests
● Strategize career development opportunities and resources for the artistic
community of Queens
● Organize an Awards Ceremony for grants recipients
● Coordinate efforts with Development Manager in funder relationships and
● Attend funder meetings as scheduled
Qualifications:
• BA required
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in person and online
• Interest in working with emerging, grassroots and community-based artists and arts
organizations in all disciplines and arts nonprofit management
• Professional and friendly demeanor
• Must be available to work some evenings and weekends for workshops

QCA is a local arts council incorporated in 1966. The mission of QCA is to foster and
develop the arts in Queens County and to support individual artists and arts organizations
in presenting their cultural diversity for the benefit of the community. QCA is the
borough's lead source for information on and access to grant opportunities, skill building
workshops, resources and support. It provides an independent space where creative
experimentation, collaboration and advocacy can take place. QCA’s core constituencies
include emerging artists, art makers and cultural leaders.
