ART HANDLER POSITION WITH FINE ART STORAGE FACILITY

High-end fine art storage company seeks experienced, professional art handler and driver. Position will involve predominately driving daily to various upstate and NYC locations with 24-foot box truck, in addition to other various tasks including: receiving and releasing shipments, wrapping and packing artworks, inventorying shipments. At least two years of professional practice as an art handler and truck driver is a must. Prior fine art warehouse experience, as well as knowledge of New York State and NYC roadways, is preferred. Ideal candidate has a strong work ethic and sense of accountability, is highly organized, meticulous, recognizes priorities, and follows through on all tasks. All applicants must have positive, progressive attitudes and experience working in groups, with a developed sensitivity for interacting with clients and understanding of job site decorum. Any experience in construction, truck driving and forklift operation is a plus. Candidate should be comfortable working on a Mac platform and navigating in a FileMaker Pro database, or should be able to learn new systems quickly.
