Social Media and Archiving Internship 

ABOUT DANCE RESEARCH STUDIO 

Dance Research Studio (DRS) is an independent research centre for innovative dance and performance founded by the artist Jacky Lansley in 2002. Situated in Shoreditch in central London, the studio provides an accessible and nurturing laboratory for combined arts research and development. 

PROJECT SUMMARY   

The Social Media and Archiving Intern will contribute to the dissemination of social media and DRS’s current archiving project. The appointment coincides with a period of  artistic  and  organisational  development  at  DRS  and  will  provide  a  career  development  opportunity  for an applicant with an interest in arts administration, marketing and social media management. 

JOB DESCRIPTION 

The intern will work closely with the Artistic Director and Company Administrator across a range of  activities  in  support  of  its  programmes  which  include:   

maintaining DRS’ social media presence online according to company strategy; 

reaching out to new partners to increase company online presence 

supporting The Administrator with online marketing for DRS activities;

assisting in the organisation of the DRS’ archive;

cataloguing performance and training documentation including photographic, film and written materials;

digitising analogue materials;

general office support. 

This position is for one day a week over 6 months.

Fluency in Hootsuite, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram 

Fluency in excel and word 

Able  to  work  to  deadlines   

Excellent  communication  skills  

Excellent attention to detail  

Computer  literate  and  numerate   

Cheerful  and  unflappable
