Joanna Burke Art Consultants, Inc. creates collaborative art programs for all sectors: corporate, commercial, automotive, healthcare, hospitality, luxury residential, and maritime, on a local, national, and global scale. We are connected to and collaborate with an extensive network of established and emerging artists, galleries and art fairs. We are located in Silicon Beach in a 1929 landmark Deco building, a few blocks from Abbott Kinney Blvd. Erewon is a block away, a mile from Venice Beach and the boardwalk. An organic garden surrounds our building. A poetry society and two theater campuses are neighbors.

We are looking to collaborate and train a personable, character-driven, skilled, and creative individual to assist with the studio the full range of studio tasks.

Key responsibilities for this position may include:

  • Manage art programs through all phases of design and delivery
  • Manage art programs through all phases of design and delivery
  • Interpret and reinforce design concepts through artwork selection and graphics manipulation (key)
  • Develop artwork placement specifications
  • Construct compelling artwork design collateral materials
  • Maintain and build art resources database
  • Maintain project deadlines and adhere to client’s established budget
  • Coordinate artwork installations
  • Select and design complementary framing and mounting
  • Prepare client presentations

Ideal candidates will possess the following attributes and qualifications:

Proficient in MAC software programs. We are a MAC shop.

  • Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • AutoCAD, a plus!
  • Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must be fast and tech savvy
  • Speaks English at idiomatic level
  • Polished appearance and professional demeanor
  • A positive, can-do attitude and able to work in a team environment
  • A self-starter with a desire to work hard
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong academic track record and a natural passion for art and design
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • A creative thinker and ability to employ innovative ideas
  • Uncompromised professionalism, integrity, and accountability
  • 5 years minimum job history
  • 3 years minimum as a resident of Los Angeles
  • Able to communicate well on all platforms including in person, on phone, verbal and written skills, and understanding of social media
  • Strong research skills
  • Licensed driver with reliable vehicle
  • Ability to work efficiently, accurately and independently
