About the role:

The finance manager is responsible for the organization’s financial processes; the production of financial statements and managing daily accounting transactions while establishing and reinforcing policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems. The position also supports the organization’s financial planning, budgeting and strategic initiatives.

What you'll do:

·  Participate in and manage all day-to-day activities within the accounting department

·  Supervise Senior Accountant; work closely with Chief of Staff

·  Perform monthly close from Journal Entries through Financial Reporting

·  Develop, provide and present Board of Director’s financial reporting

·  Prepare monthly account balance reconciliations

·  Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll/HR

·  Guide financial decisions by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures

·  Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls 

·  Liaise with outside Auditors on annual audit and IRS Form 990 preparation

·  Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts

·  Prepare departmental budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data

·  Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends

Our ideal candidate:

Education and experience

·  BS in Accounting required, Graduate Degree in Business/Accounting or additional certification a plus

·  5-7 years of relevant experience with a for profit company 

·  Experience developing budgets and monitoring trends

Skills and abilities:

·  Attention to detail and accuracy

·  Advanced experience working with financial software, advanced NetSuite required

·  Ability to track actual to budget results and prepare variance analysis

·  Proficiency in MAC and Google systems

·  Advanced MS Excel & proficient in MS Power Point

·  Ability to multitask and identify productivity improvements and automation initiatives

·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·  Team player and community builder

What we offer:

·  Job Type: Temp to permanent

·  Salary Range 80-100k; commensurate with experience
