Position Summary:

IMN is seeking a globally experienced, resourceful, highly organized individual to support our International agent with administration, soliciting artists, tour planning and servicing confirmed dates for our clients. Works closely with agents and other administrative staff to maintain office efficiency with a focus on building stronger relationships with all clients. This is a full-time position with benefits. Candidates must be willing and able to commute to Gloucester, MA. IMN is an equal opportunity employer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist agents in building and maintaining strong relationships with Artists and Promoters/Presenters
  • Input performance proposals
  • Manage all aspects of the contract administration process through a web-based database including issue, tracking, receivables from promoters/presenters, accuracy, review, posting of tour dates and reporting for agents
  • Intercept and handle appropriate level phone calls and emails for agents as needed
  • Administer and maintain e-business sales strategies and web resources
  • Assist with managing Artist materials: bios, promotional materials, program notes and managing riders
  • Facilitate tour logistics and communications between all team members of Artists' tours (label, management, publicists, etc.)
  • Oversee the process of local tax compliance and visa/immigration requirements
  • Assist with preparation of solicitation materials and publicity correspondence, and manage distribution of those materials
  • Assist with research and development to find potential sales opportunities and new leads
  • Planning and preparation for conference including travel and scheduling
  • Submit performance dates to music industry publications and maintain those relationships
  • Maintaining Contact Database

General Qualifications:

  • Two years of general office experience and a college degree; music industry experience a plus
  • Highly self-motivated: must take initiative and follow-through
  • Acute attention to detail is essential
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude toward flexibility is essential
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Creative troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • A passion for and knowledge of music and the performing arts is fundamental
  • Significant exposure to international culture, either professionally or through extensive life experience, with foreign languages and experience in international performing arts markets a plus

Technology Skills Required:

  • Proficiency with MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Adobe and Outlook 
  • Strong Internet researching skills
  • Networking, Graphics (including Photoshop) & Calendar/Scheduling program knowledge is a plus
  • Must possess the capacity and willingness to learn new information systems
