Part Time Art Handler

Caldwell Snyder Gallery in San Francisco & St. Helena is seeking a part time experienced Art Handler. 

Position requires installation in the gallery as well as client’s homes.   Storage, photography and labeling of artworks. Shipping tasks will include packing, crating and unpacking of artworks, working with various shippers on pick-ups and deliveries. Other duties include general gallery maintenance such as painting & patching walls, installing vinyl lettering, adjusting lighting and miscellaneous maintenance tasks. 

Previous art handling of at least 2 years required, with a base proficiency in Mac OS X, Microsoft Office, photoshop and FileMaker Pro preferred. Must be able to handle artwork up to 50 lbs, be able to climb a ladder to adjust lighting, painting and patching as needed.  Assist with crates up to 100 lbs.  Position will be based in San Francisco, but may require travel to St. Helena as needed 2x per month. Weekends required and and all gallery receptions.
