Film and Alternate Realities Submissions are now open!

We’re excited to open submissions for the Sheffield Doc/Fest 2019 Film and Alternate Realities programmes, to discover the best new works in documentary and non-fiction storytelling globally. The Sheffield Doc/Fest programme offers filmmakers and creators an essential platform to launch their work at one of the world’s leading film festivals.

We champion new and authentic voices, presenting plural visions of the world present and past, and aspire to present a programme of equality in representation both on screen and behind the camera. Sheffield Doc/Fest is open to all sectors of film and media production, all lengths, and all formats.

Each year the Festival exhibits over 200 international films. Sheffield Doc/Fest looks to challenge, inspire and entertain audiences through a carefully curated programme that reflects new frontiers of world events, personal narratives and artful forms of non-fiction. Our 26th Edition will take place Thursday 6 June – Tuesday 11 June 2019.
