Seeking artists for Chicago "End Violence Against Women" art show
In conjunction with One Billion Rising, we are presenting an exhibit called "End Violence Against Women and Girls".
The Liz Long gallery at Chicago Urban Art Retreat Center at 1957 S. Spaulding Ave. Chicago Illinois 60623 is seeking
artists who have work on this theme to submit their works to our gallery ASAP. We will accept art at the gallery up until
February 3, 2018 to be included in the show. We prefer artists email us images of their works, then communicate
via email, then send art to the gallery. It is free to enter, however artists are responsible for expenses involved in getting
art to and from the gallery. Art from other states and from other countries is encouraged! Art must be original, signed, with
the title written on the back. Along with the art must come an inventory sheet created by the artist. The inventory sheet includes
the artist's name and contact info. at top followed by a list of the pieces by title. Next to each title there will be a description of
each piece (what does it look like), and the size, medium, and price to sell for. Email a paragraph about how the pieces fit in
with the theme of the exhibit. Artists should make arrangements to get their art after the show comes down. The exhibit opens
Feb. 10 and closes March 24, 2018. contact@urbanartretreat.com
