Combine Watercolor & Pencil Drawing by Yasuaki Okamoto

These paintings are one of the latest project; combine two materials into one artwork such as Pencil drawing and Watercolor on paper.

The theme of these paintings are "Death" and "Animal". I think the death might be one of my major themes. also my preoccupations are: animals, animal life and animal behavior etc. therefore these artworks was affected by them.

I dare chose these animals because I thought its easier to have sympathy with them.

I drew their bone with pencil drawing as an icon of death and painted a color the rest of them with a watercolor. As a title "Guess What" I want viewer to think What is the animal? and/or What happened with the animal? etc.
