Ōkeanós

Humans Of The Earth: HOTE Gallery Is Accepting Submission For Its "Ōkeanós"  Exhibition.

The exhibit will focus on our oceans, plastic pollution, rising sea levels, marine life, sustainability, ecology, pollution, and the environment.

“Humans are transforming Earth’s natural landscapes so dramatically that as many as one million plant and animal species are now at risk of extinction, posing a dire threat to ecosystems that people all over the world depend on for their survival, a sweeping new United Nations assessment has concluded.”

“Human actions threaten more species with global extinction now than ever before,” the report concludes, estimating that “around 1 million species already face extinction, many within decades, unless action is taken.”

WHAT CLIMATE?!

Humans Of The Earth: HOTE Gallery Is Accepting Submission For Its "WHAT CLIMATE?!"  Exhibition.

DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL 2/28/2019

The issues of climate change are in no way new, but according to recent news, the speed and sheer magnitude of the impact have been underestimated throughout the last decades. As cities are being erased by wildfires, and islands disappearing due to rising sea levels and storms;  new reports from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and the National Climate Assessment sound the alarm on the grim, fast-moving global climate impact.

The exhibit will focus on the issues relating to Climate Change, sustainability, ecology, pollution, and the environment.
