2027 Open Call for Art

The Dairy Arts Center invites artists, curators, and collectives to apply for our 2027 Call for Art Exhibitions.

We are seeking bold, thoughtful exhibition proposals across all visual art mediums. Selected artists will work closely with Curator of Visual Arts to develop exhibitions presented in 2027.

Our Visual Arts Program centers innovative, socially engaged, and conceptually driven work that sparks dialogue and reflects the complexity of our contemporary moment. We are particularly interested in projects rooted in storytelling, cultural inquiry, community connection, and experimental approaches to material and form.

Icons

Icons is a visual exploration of figures, symbols, and moments that shape culture, influence society, and transcend time. From historical legends to contemporary trailblazers, this exhibition examines what it means to be iconic—whether through fame, influence, or artistic interpretation.

Artists are invited to submit works that engage with the idea of "icons" in any form—portraits of cultural figures, symbolic imagery, or conceptual reflections on power, legacy, and myth-making. Whether celebrating, critiquing, or reimagining icons, this exhibition seeks bold and thought-provoking perspectives.

Medium Mutiny

Medium Mutiny

This exhibition seeks work that defies expectation and reinvents tradition. We’re looking for pieces that experiment boldly—with process, form, and concept. Whether through unexpected techniques, hybrid materials, or subversive approaches to craft, the work in Medium Mutiny resists easy categorization.

If your creative practice breaks boundaries, blurs lines, and challenges how art is made—or how it's perceived—we want to see it.  Medium Mutiny is a celebration of fearless experimentation. Show us how you turn convention on its head and redefine what art can be or how it communicates.

Arrival Gallery —Brooklyn Open Call

Arrival Gallery — Brooklyn Open Call

Arrival Gallery is welcoming submissions for a short showcase in Brooklyn this March.

The exhibition will take place at 35 Meadow Street, Brooklyn, NY, USA, from 13–16 March 2026. The exhibition is conceived as a curated presentation within an intimate, focused setting.

This is an open-theme call.
All mediums are welcome, including painting, photography, sculpture, installation, digital work, moving image, sound, and mixed media.

We’re interested in work that reflects where you are in your practice right now. That might mean something resolved, something in progress, or something exploratory. Process and intention matter as much as the final work.

Soft Power

RevArt invites artists to submit works for Soft Power, a Women’s History Month exhibition held in Los Angeles, CA.

Soft Power celebrates subtle strength, expressed through care, resilience, intuition, and the beauty of everyday gestures. The exhibition highlights qualities often associated with women’s experiences but universal in their emotional impact.

This year, the exhibition will place special attention on textile-based and fiber artworks. We are especially interested in works that incorporate stitching, weaving, embroidery, quilting, fabric layering, or other tactile processes that convey softness through material.

However, all wall-hung 2D mediums are welcome, including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, and mixed media.
