Georgetown Heritage Arts 2026 Call for Artists

Georgetown Heritage Arts is a recently created program to develop more arts and culture programming in one of D.C.’s most historic neighborhoods. Our goal is to amplify the neighborhood’s history, enlivens its public spaces and develop it as a nationally recognized destination for arts and cultural experiences—fostering connection, belonging, and civic pride. Georgetown is renowned for its beautiful and charming architecture, and world class shopping and dining, but we’ve also mapped over 50 existing ways to experience arts and culture in Georgetown, through its galleries, heritage sites, educational institutions, venues, embassies, and public art. ASLD Color Scheme Residency

ASLD's Color Scheme Residency was born of the recognition that many artists have historically been excluded from formal art spaces, including artist residencies. Building on this knowledge, ASLD’s Color Scheme Residency seeks to take an active role in creating a Colorado arts community that uplifts and engages with historically underrepresented communities. Selected artists will be reflective of the arts community at large and open to participating in activities (workshops, exhibits, community conversations) that address specific themes and issues affecting historically underrepresented artists and communities. Each 7-month-long residency offers the artist access to dedicated 900 sq. ft.

William Flanagan Memorial Creative Persons Center

The Edward F. Albee Foundation exists to serve writers and visual artists from all walks of life, by providing time and space in which to work without disturbance. Using only talent and need as the criteria for selection, the Foundation invites any and all artists to apply. The Center is open almost year-round and can accommodate comfortably up to four creative persons at a time. Residencies are for calendar-month periods (with rare, pre-approved exceptions). The standards for admission are, simply, talent and need, and there is no cost to apply or to stay with us. Writers and visual artists are offered individual en-suite bedrooms and separate working studios. Domestic residents are provided with a $2500 stipend; Foreign residents are reimbursed for verified expenses up to $2500.
