Suffrage Now: A 19th Amendment Centennial Exhibition

On August 18th 1920, the Nineteenth Amendment was ratified, giving women in the US the right to vote. Since then it has become such an assumption of the body politic that it is all but unimaginable to conceive  of its absence. But it was a long and arduous campaign to reach this milestone, and it wasn’t, in fact, until  August 6th 1965, with the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, that all American‐born women were  guaranteed to share in this privilege.

Domain NORTHSIDE is currently hosting a Call for Artists for ”Live Chalk/Street Art” to be held at Domain NORTHSIDE on March 28, 2020. Domain NORTHSIDE in conjunction with Mini Masters Art Studio + Creativity Lab are proud supporters of local area artists. ICOSA Collective announces a national call for entries for Open Space, a juried group exhibition to be held in conjunction with the East Austin Studio Tour 2019. Open to all US residents working in any 2D/3D media and video. Only works completed within the past two years are eligible.

Located in the Canopy Arts Complex on the east side of Austin, Open Space is an exciting opportunity for artists to showcase their work in the gallery during the East Austin Studio Tour. In 2018, ICOSA welcomed nearly 5,000 visitors during the two-weekend event.

Dinosauria

Art.Science.Gallery. is seeking submissions of artworks for a group exhibition about dinosaurs! Works may explore dinosaur biology, paleontology, anatomy, ecology, dinosaur habitat, extinctions, evolution or relatedness, genetics and genetic engineering, dinosaur diversity, or even notable paleontologists. Make sure to send us your dino-inspired art submissions by October 2, 2016! Dinosauria will also be our featured exhibit for the 15th Annual EAST Austin Studio Tour (November 12-13 and 19-20, 2016). Submissions may be in any medium.
