Media Production Training: Digital Constellations 2026

Overview  

The Media and Production: Professional Training Program (PTP) combines mentorship and formal instruction to help emerging practitioners refine their technical expertise while contributing to innovative digital storytelling in a collaborative professional environment.

Participants will work closely with lead faculty to collaborate and support the projects of the participants in the Indigenous Arts Digital Constellations: Production & Post-Production Residency 2026. The program offers practical experience and formal instruction in the areas of video production and post-production, audio, animation & graphics.

Digital Constellations: Production & Post-Production Residency 2026

Overview  

The Digital Constellations Residency offers Indigenous digital media artists, filmmakers, and animators dedicated time and a supportive environment to advance the video and audio production and post-production aspects of their projects. With guidance from faculty and support from our Media Production team, participants will refine their work, create high-quality samples, and further develop their projects throughout the program.

Applicants may apply as individuals or with a collaborator.

Audio Engineer: BMiR 2026

Overview

The Audio Recording Engineer professional training program is a continuing education opportunity designed for emerging recording engineers with mature artistic insight, advanced practical skills, and either significant professional experience or a high level of professional training. Learning objectives have been integrated into artistic residency programs, inviting exciting opportunities for collaboration and connection in this redeveloped applied-learning program.

Banff Musicians in Residence Winter 2026

Overview  

This residency provides individual musicians and bands/ensembles of all genres with space and dedicated time to research, create, and develop projects within Banff Centre’s exceptional campus and mountain setting. 

You will have the freedom to focus on your artistic process and structure your time according to your project’s needs. Additionally, you'll receive artistic inspiration and career advice from well-established faculty. The diverse range of artistic influences over the three weeks, combined with opportunities for peer interaction and collaboration, will foster new discoveries and transformative experiences.

Theatre Producer Intensive 2025

Overview  

This program offers early career producers the opportunity to enhance their skills and work with professional mentors. The Producer role is dynamic and adapts to the needs of each project, beginning with collaboration between management and creative teams throughout the entire process. From building teams and development to negotiations, scheduling, production, even co-production and touring, Producers are deeply involved in many aspects of theatre creation.

Stage Manager Intensive 2025

Overview  

This program provides early-career stage managers with the opportunity to enhance their skills under the guidance of professional mentors. Expand your stage management toolkit through hands-on experience in prompt script creation, script analysis, and effective communication. Gain practical experience supporting Kohkom’s premiere production of Babushka, as an assistant stage manager during the program.
