NICC is the artist-run network organization of the visual artist in Belgium. The core activity of NICC is to promote and strengthen knowledge and dialogue about developments in the artistic practice and the framework within which this takes place.

The Antwerp Art Weekend (May 26 to 29th, 2022) is a city-wide event for contemporary visual art in Antwerp, where art spaces in and around the city come together to celebrate and further promote contemporary art as a valuable and essential part of society.

NICC has a new place for several months now. We have been invited by HART magazine to share the space in Kleine Markt 7-9, Antwerp.

International FiKVA Award for painters 2022

The FiKVA Foundation announces its 1st international contest for representational & figurative painters. This competition aims to encourage and support artists financially and provide them with an opportunity to exhibit their best work online.
Enter the paintings produced the last two years you are most proud of, and you could win up to €5000 in cash and other prizes!      

The International FiKVA Award for painters is a global online competition, open to all artists 18 years of age or older. The FiKVA Award welcomes entries in all genres: hyperrealism, photorealism, classical and modern realism, surrealism, and imaginative realism – as long as the artwork reads as representational and not stylized or abstract.

The Enchanted Garden 2022

During the summer months of 2022 Tone Aanderaa & Ignace Clarysse are organizing the international art exhibition 'The Enchanted Garden' for the ninth time in a unique landscape, nature garden, full of water and surprises. It is situated in Jodoigne (Belgium), halfway between Brussels and Liège, on the bicycle path 'RAVEL' between Tienen and Namur.

During the preparation phase, we chose 'Light, Transparency, Reflection, Colour... Glass' as the working theme.

Designers in Residence Kortrijk 2021

Designregio Kortrijk is looking for 3 highly motivated and recently graduated designer-makers or creative artists to join in a regional residency program in Kortrijk, Belgium.
The Designers in Residence Kortrijk program is a 3-month full time working residency from October 2021 to January 2022.

Designregio Kortrijk provides for the selected Designers in Residence Kortrijk:
- accommodation
- monthly fee (400€/month)
- usage of Budalab Open Makerspace
- experts in several domains and support of Designregio Kortrijk
- one-time travel expenses
