Performance Intensive with Raegan Truax – second round.

The Performance Intensive is a ten-day immersion into embodied practice-a
space to inhabit time differently, to listen through the body, and to explore
performance as a living form of research. Led by artist and scholar Dr. Raegan
Truax, the intensive invites participants to work with the body as material,
archive, and compass-a site of knowledge that connects presence, place, and

Set in the mountain landscape of Centro Negra, AADK Spain’s headquarters in
Blanca (Murcia), the programme offers a unique context for slowing down,

Traces / Huellas Residency Programme

The trace is an ambivalent form of inscription: it marks the presence of what once was and, at the same time, signals its absence. It is testimony and emptiness, memory and projection. From this tension, the territory presents itself as a space where human presence, natural processes and collective imaginaries are in constant dialogue. These residencies are framed within the concepts of body, territory and spatiality, understood as central axes of research and creation. In this edition, we would like to place special emphasis on the trace as a notion that cuts across these frameworks, inviting participants to explore it from multiple dimensions.

ON DURATION 2025

AADK SP includes  ON DURATION artistic residency in its annual programme. Conceived and founded in 2020 by Raegan Truax, PhD, founder and director of Creative Body Institute, ON DURATION supports durational artists to engage in creative research and site-responsive public praxis. Taking over Centro Negra Art Center July, August, and September 2025, the ON DURATION residency brings together an intergenerational and international group of artists who each work with duration in radically different ways.

ON DURATION

ON DURATION is a programme conceived by artist and performance artist Reagan Truax, PhD. It is designed to take place in a range of locations. Its intention is to encourage creative research and work in context by facilitating spaces for durational artists. ON DURATION invites us to explore temporality as a primary material for artistic creation and to question our relationship to time and to those systems designed to measure it in the wake of oppressive systems.

Open Call 2024 First Semester – Cruce, Space for Transformation last places

Cruce, Space for Transformation is an initiative intended for professionals who need to disconnect from their daily rhythms, those who need a space to create, hold workshops, events or exhibitions, focus on analysis and dissemination of their work; or just make a temporary withdrawal.

Surrounded by nature, the rural environment of Blanca allows one to enter the traditions and customs of a town in southern Spain, as well as being in coexistence with an artistic community.
Cruce is a program designed to bring together resources, spaces and knowledge. It facilitates the encounter between people of different origins, trajectories and ideas, with the common interest of being part of a temporary and caring community and of sharing experiences and knowledge.
