Calling All Artists | Group Exhibition “Be Right Back” at A Space Gallery

In a life full of shifts, is there still room for dreams?

We drift through the city—Corner bodegas, bubble tea counters, coffee chains, bar shifts, subway commutes, late night streets... Creation is squeezed into the cracks between shifts: taking orders, sealing cups, serving coffee by day; drawing, editing videos, building models, replying to emails by night. Time is fragmented, energy drained by working hours—but still, we try to carve out a little space, just enough to add a bit of ourselves in.

What Shapes Our Brooklyn Project

Our Brooklyn is a temporary public art installation created by Brooklyn-based artist Phoebe Lo for the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Celebrating the ways in which Brooklyn communities come together through work, social, and cultural life, the playful and colorful installation spans Flushing Avenue between Clermont Avenue and Carlton Avenue.

Using graphic shapes and icons, Lo’s work is representational and abstracted. The use of acrylic and painted wood creates eye-catching textures while also allowing for the play of light and shadows throughout the day. Lo’s work is soft and surreal and full of symbolism. Motivated by a lifelong dedication to play, she is not bound by one material and works in murals and public art sculptures.

NOoSPHERE Arts Residency Award & Site Specific Art Installation

NOoSPHERE Arts’ Residency Award @ Kingsland Wildflowers is an annual open-call contest for unique, site-specific installations created by local artists for our green rooftops. Typically, the winning proposal is displayed on the Upper Meadow of the Kingsland Wildflowers rooftop community center throughout the outdoor season. The program aims to showcase non-intrusive, sustainable artwork that highlights our one-of-a-kind surroundings and encourages reflection on the environment and the mission and vision of the WE ARE NATURE series.

Calling All Artists | Group Exhibition “When Time Lingers In The Air” at A Space Gallery

Meditation is not just a state of stillness; it is an exercise of awareness, a deep experience of the present. It allows individuals to withdraw from complex reality and re-examine themselves, the world, and existence itself with a more open mind. In the process of meditation, time is no longer, linear but rather flowing and reshaped; space is no longer fixed, but perceptible and shapeable.
