Broadway Stages’ Arts Residency Award @ Kingsland Wildflowers

Open Call for a site-specific installation that will remain on view on the Upper Meadow of the Kingsland Wildflowers rooftop community center throughout the entire outdoor season of 2023. 

 

The installation should be non-intrusive, focus on sustainability, reflect on nature, and take into consideration the mission and vision of the WE ARE NATURE series and the surrounding environment on and around the Kingland Wildlflowers rooftops, and reflect this season’s theme. 

 

Submission Deadline: April 10th, 2023

 

Winner Announced: May

Textile Arts Center's Artists-in-Residence Cycle 15 - Call for Applications

Textile Arts Center's Artist in Residence (TAC AIR) combines studio access with a rigorous interdisciplinary curriculum, regular critical dialogue and mentorship, providing residents an opportunity to learn and explore the textile medium, and an alternative to traditional higher education programs. The residency culminates in a group exhibition produced and hosted by TAC. Since 2010, TAC AIR has graduated over eighty artists and designers whose work continues to further textile art within the fashion, fine arts, design and art education fields.

TAC AIR Cycle 15 will run from October 2023 to June 2024, artists will exhibit in September, 2024.

2024 Exhibition Open Call

Open Source Gallery is constantly searching for new ideas to bring to our audience. We accept proposals for exhibitions that refer directly to the Open Source mission to observe the social environment that we are surrounded by. We are looking for engaged artists from around the world practicing in any form of media, ranging from painting to installation to performance art.

The current application cycle is open now through Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Selected artists will be announced in early 2023 for the following year.

KUNSTRAUM is calling for submissions for our 2023-2024 Exhibition Program

 

KUNSTRAUM is an artist hub, studios and a gallery. Through our Open Call for the 2023-2024 Exhibition Program, we select works that present compelling ideas, unconventional methods, and risky themes that expand the parameters of contemporary art. The resulting exhibition theme is selected and curated by our 2023 Curator-in-Residence.

Our gallery is located inside one of our coworking lofts located at 20 Grand Avenue, a beautiful factory building in Clinton Hillnear the Navy Yard. Exhibitions are on view for four weeks, plus an additional six months online. 50% of artwork sales go to the artist. The artist must cover their shipping and presentation needs.

KUNSTRAUM is calling for submissions for our 2023-2024 Curator-in-Residence Program.

For the Curator-in-Residence 2023-24 (“CIR”), we are seeking a self-starter with an innovative and ambitious mind who thrives on creative freedom, is comfortable assuming a leadership role, and has an interest in working within an established artist-run gallery. CIR's mission is to bring a unique curatorial vision to the program and highlight their curatorial practice in the New York art world by facilitating engaging exhibitions and events and building our community.
