Tao Hua Tan 6th International Artists Residency

We have the pleasure to inform you that the 6th International Artist Retreat and residence workshop will take place in Tao Hua Tan, Anhui Province, China, from May 10th thru May 28th, 2020. As decided by the organizers, about 30 artist from China, and from different countries of the world, will be invited to participate. The participating artists will be selected by the organizer's curators:

Gordan Novak owner of Novak Graphics Inc. printmaking studio and publisher from Admiral, Saskatchewan, Canada

Liu Jian, artist, art consultant and curator from Toronto, Canada and Beijing China

or proposed by the art-world professionals (art critics, galleries, museum curators, university lecturers...).

The invited participants are free and independent in choosing the subject, style and technique of their work for their production during their stay on the location. However, they will be proposed to make one painting on canvas size 120 cm x 120 cm and two more works on canvas size 60 cm x 60 cm, destined for the permanent collection of the organiser's future World Art Museum at The Peach Blossom Pool Arts and Holiday Riverside Resort, Tao Hua Tan, Anhui Province, China.

All the canvases and oil and acrylic paints, as well as any special materials requested by the artists, will be provided free of charge by the organizers, who will also cover all the expenses for full board and lodging including visits to selected historic, nature and cultural sites. The invited artists should only pay the transportation costs from their city/country to Shanghai, China and back. The organizers will meet the artists at meeting points in Shanghai and transport them by bus to the resort.

The residency will end with an exhibition of the works produced in Tao Hua Tan and an open day reception for the press, collectors, critics, gallerists and the general public. The catalogue book of the residency will be produced by the organizers and 3 copies will be mailed to each of the participating artists.

After the residency, the organizers will transport the artist by bus to Shanghai, Pudong Airport.

Untitled Space 2020 Residency Fellowship

Since launch in October 2017, Untitled Space Artist in Residence has hosted more than 70 artists from China and all around the world. To encourage more young artists to experience residency, Untitled Space announces its first-ever Residency Young Artists Fellowship Project.

  • The artist's practice filed is visual art.
  • The artits's age is between 18 to 35.
  • The artist must be in good physical and mental health.
  • The artist must be independent, and capable of working and living on their own.
  • The artist is required to deal with the production, installation, and de-installation by themselves.
  • The artist should be able to speak and understand basic English for daily conversation. 
  • The artist has to apply for their visa personally, and the visa should conform to the residency.
  • The artist must read and agree to the Terms and Conditions.

Application fee: 20 USD (Non-refundable)

  • Available residency slots, please check at the residency page.
  • The application process, including Skype interviewing.
  • The selected and the non-selected artist will receive an E-mail notification. (Within 5 working days)
  • The selected artists will be announced on Instagram, and WeChat public account.
  • The selected artist is responsible for their transportation, food, art material, and other living expenses.
Prizes: 

This fellowship project will provide two places for artists each month, residency duration is 30 days, selected artists will be part of the residency exhibition as well at the end of each residency month.

About Untitled Space Artist in Residence Program

Untitled Space AiR encourages both young artists to continue their practice upon graduation and practicing artists to be keep inspired. Untitled Space AiR aims at providing an ideal creative and living environment for all artists. Opens to all contemporary artists throughout the year (except February),  during the residency, artists are encouraged to create a new body of work, engage in conversation with artists from Mainland China and around the world.

Untitled Space AiR provides private bedrooms for selected artists with a queen size or super single size bed and air conditioner (warm and cold), a desk and a chair, an open closet. Artists are free to use the kitchen, laundry (washing machine and dryer), rooftop garden, and other common space.

Studio

Untitled Space AiR will provide a semi-sharing studio, each resident artist has their own working space. There is a wide variety of tools/equipment available for resident artists. Such as easel, tripod, lighting gear, projector, monitor, speakers, electric kiln and etc. 

Fees

The residency program is run as a sustainable residency. Selected resident artist need to pay a residency fee total of 8800 CNY for one month stay, which is to meet the minimum cost of running the residency program

Residency Program does not carry any funding or scholarship yet, so encourage artists to manage the scholarship application, grants or financial support in their home countries during the application period. Untitled Space will provide the necessary documentation to the selected applicant that so requires

The artist is responsible for transportation, food, art material, and other living expenses.

Guangzhou international art fair is the only art fair that approved by the ministry of culture in south China, it’s organized by Chinese artists association and the local government. It is one of the oldest art fair in China and the most concerned art trade fair in south China.

The The 70th National Day of China International Artist Residency Program Funded By CIEA· BA

To celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People‘s Republic of China, CIEA · BA Exhibition Co., Ltd. is inviting  70 artists from 70m countries to visit 20 beautiful Chinese Cities for an artist residency.

This project serves as a way to enhance the friendship between China and rest of the world. CIEA · BA is promoting the world peace and world development thought this art and culture exchange program.

The residency program “I love you China though my painting "now is open to artist from all over the world.

Artist Requirement: BFA Degree

  Emerging artist and accomplished artist both accepted

Media:  Visual Art – Painting (No Photography) including oil, pastel, acrylic, watercolor, mix media and etc..

Subject: No limitation on subjects  (portrait,   landscape, abstract art)

             Artists are required to donate two paintings to the organization. 

Fees and Cost:

   CIEA · BA Exhibition Co., Ltd. Inc. will cover the artists round trip tickets, housing and meals.

Hello, people! 

This is a production company, Alliance Occident-Orient, based in Paris. We are currently selecting shows (performing arts-oriented) for 2019 fall season to tour in China. 

According to the genres our Chinese partners are looking for and due to the budget constraints, the shows are preferably:

  • small-sized;
  • more entertaining (some of the targeted audience are family and kids )
  • due to language barriers, theater plays without Chinese texts will not be taken into consideration this time. 

We welcome artists from Europe and elsewhere to submit their creative works to us with your bios, show reels and distribution materilals, either in French or in English. As we are building our talents pools in Europe, feel free to contact us and let us know if you have any great porjects that we could distribute to China in the future.
