Open Call: Multidisciplinary artists interested in language, language loss and revival, climate change, decolonization, alternate imaginings of past, present, and future

This open call is for early-mid career multidisciplinary artists who live, work, or otherwise have some connection to Cornwall, to present a new or existing body of work in February or March 2025.

What is the project?

This project seeks to ask questions around loss and revival of Cornish language in Cornwall. Outcomes for this project are non-prescriptive, but themes and questions it will explore centre around:

Your Face My Art

Your Face My Art - A Pop up Portrait Studio with a Difference!  

We are inviting artists (self employed, freelance) to take part in this fundraising event for Barnoon Workshop - where members of the public will be able to sit for their 'portrait' in under 15 minutes. The next event will be  weekends in April, and occassional twilight slots durig April.  We are looking for artists who are free for 2 hour slots or full days.

We will consider  artists using any medium or style, from traditional portraiture or cartoons, to mini sculpture, photographs, printings, models, digital drawing or conceptual  to apply.  Please send images or links that show 'portraits' done quickly to Zoe Eaton.
