EXTENDED!: OPEN CALL FOR ARTWORK: STIFF 2021

We are inviting visual and new media artists to submit their artwork for the exhibition program of the 8th Student International Film Festival.

For the last seven years, STIFF Festival has produced a rich accompanying program that elaborates and complements the thematic focus of its film program. With the emphasis on contemporary art practices, STIFF’s exhibition program gathers artists from all over the globe, dealing with relevant social, political, as well as intimate aspects of everyday life. 

This year the festival is giving attention to the Body, and the exhibition program aims to explore socially relevant ways of interpreting the body in a contemporary environment saturated with images.

STIFF 2021/CALL FOR ENTRIES OPEN!

STIFF – Student International Film Festival is now calling on all student and debutant filmmakers to submit their films for the 8th festival edition which will take place from 4th to 7th of November 2021 in Rijeka, Croatia.

Works entering the competition program must be original, student-created films or debutants films of all genres: fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental films. All the works need to be up to 60 min in length and completed after the 1st of January 2018. The films must be in English or with English subtitles and must be submitted via FilmFreeway platform. The deadline for registration and delivery of materials is May 30th, 2021.

Split Videoart Festival

Split Videoart Festival invites international and domestic video artists to participate in the second edition that will take place in Split 12th-15th May 2021. 

​Call for entries is opened for emerging and established authors, new authors and students. 

Our goal is to  promote video art in public space and  attract new audiences by organizing exhibitions in galleries and unconventional spaces and locations around town. A part of the program will be shown online as a stream through our website.

Why Split? Split has a specific tradition  in film and video art and with its rich history and mediterranean spirit it makes a perfect choice for this new and specific festival.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: C4CS RESIDENCIES 2020 - 500€ GRANT - SUMMER 2020, CROATIA

Centre fro Creative Solutions (C4CS) is a project run by Culture and Education Association in Rasoja, Lika county, Croatia with its 550 meters elevation, off-the-grid premises surrounded by mountains and forests. C4CS aims to establish the platform and space for exchange, practice and innovation in the fields of relations of Human to Other Than Human.

DEADLINE EXTENDED!! CALL for ENTRIES: GIF films

STIFF film festival and Gallery SKC are looking for the most creative GIF films/animations to be featured in the special exhibition during 6th STIFF film festival Rijeka, Croatia.

 

The theme of the 6th edition of STIFF film festival is Fear. Through its film program, discussions, exhibitions, workshops and masterclasses the festival will discuss the causes and consequences of the culture of fear in Europe and in the world. It will focus on methods of resistance and struggle against fear and oppression with emphasis on cinema and art. We focus on works addressing this theme in a broad sense so be free to apply regardless.
