International Open Call / Brno Artists in Residence 2023

Brno Artists in Residence is happy to announce an international Open Call for visual artists, curators or theoreticians of any nationality, gender or age for a two months residency stay between June – July 2023 hosted by The Brno House of Arts, in Brno, Czech Republic.

The residency is intended to provide a platform for focused work, research, study, activism, regeneration and free exploration of any kind. BAiR’s elementary philosophy is to create a space for free artistic expression without the pressure to produce a complete and significant presentation outcome within the time- and space-range of the residency. The wellbeing of our guests – be it artists, curators or theoreticians – is our top priority.

International Artist Residency

Garage Gallery in Prague is launching its third season of residencies focusing on current matters in contemporary art and establishing a connection with the international art scene.

Our residency is open to any artist who does not have a permanent residence in Prague. Are you interested in discovering the local scene and participating in the gallery's residency program during the summer of 2022? The residency will end with a final exhibition of the selected applicant's project. The residency is for one or two individuals due to the size of the offered accommodation.

The call is open to:

international artists / art collectives working in any medium

Sustainable Connections

Pandemická situace a řada omezení s ní spojená zatlačila kulturu do kouta.

OPEN CALL: Artist in Residence 2022 @Petrohradská kolektiv, Prague

Artist In Residence at Petrohradská kolektiv 2022

Petrohradská kolektiv announces an open call for artists to participate in an international program Artist in Residence for the year 2022.

The residency program is intended for active artists, creators, and theoreticians, who desire independence and want space and technical support for working on their projects. That’s what the Petrohradská kolektiv AiR program offers in the heart of a multi-genre cultural center in Prague. The goal of the program is creating an open platform for international artistic dialogue, interconnection of different cultures, and support for emerging artists working with diverse media.

Open call • Food Studio (an open kitchen for art, theory and politics)

In the framework of this residency program, we are looking for projects where food grows to become one the media of contemporary art. We are particularly interested in concepts where the kitchen is conceived as common ground for a better understanding, where foodstuffs count as political, historical, and cultural beings. We would like to provide a space to projects examining the social dimension of food and which would consider working with Prague’s art scene, our international community of residents, and – last but not least – MeetFactory employees.
