Dreams & Nightmares – International Call For Artists

Could dreams and nightmares be the hidden forces driving our creativity, the mysterious sparks that ignite artistic inspiration?

Many artists believe so.

Some draw their deepest visions from dreamlike realms, slipping into a blissful trance where the mind wanders freely and possibilities unfold without limits. A surreal space where the search for the sublime feels endless.

Others confront the icy terrain of nightmares, internal battles, restless nights, and shadows that refuse to stay quiet. Here, creativity is forged in conflict, in the rawness of emotion, in the courage to face what unsettles us. This darkness, too, becomes art: cathartic, honest, and unflinching.

“I know. I’ve been there. I still am.”

Plicnik Crit Sessions 2026

Plicnik Space Initiative is hosting weekly critique sessions from 17 January to 21 February 2026. A small group of applicants will be invited to present their work and deliver critique once a week in a professional environment. These sessions are designed to support growth and critical dialogue among practicing artists that are not currently studying and are actively engaged in their careers. This platform is aimed at artists seeking to refine their work and build connections with peers in a professional context.

Christmas exhibition

When festive times approach, we think of celebration, getting together with close ones, mastering ideas for special gifts, sparkling wine, and long travels.  It is also a time full of creative spark, joy, vision for the future, and a time of compassion, collective spirit, and revision of the experiences shaping that future.

We are celebrating this festive season with a Christmas exhibition at Glena Art, to showcase in a visual metaphor how Art unites us in this sacred time of freedom and trust, making miracles possible, when we inhabit the realm of imagination through our artistic flow.

Join us for a vibrant group show at Glena Art Studio between 11 Dec - 21 Dec, with a Private View and a Christmas party on the 13th of December!

What we want:

Paintings, fashion, installation, writing, poetry, collage, zines, digital works, sculptures, and more.

This exhibition will be exploring questions such as:
Where do trends come from, and why do they disappear so quickly?
Are micro trends replacing subcultures?
How do naming practices and virality shape identity?
What are the social, cultural, and environmental costs of this accelerated consumption?
Can personal style survive in a world of infinite “-cores”?
