OPEN CALL: HAP Hessisches Atelierprogramm

The HAP Studio Programme in Frankfurt supports outstanding young artists in Hesse for a period of four years by providing a total of twelve studios free of charge at basis e.V. The grant is awarded in two years to eight or four scholarship holders. The postgraduate programme also offers professional support and networking through a specially designed mentoring programme. In addition, all facilities of basis can be used, such as the basis project room for self-organized exhibitions and events. Sponsored stays abroad, for example by AIR or HAP IEPA, can also be taken up to a total of 12 months during the programme. At the end of each funding period, a group exhibition with accompanying publication is held. Four spots are available for the class of 2023-2027.

Curator in Residence

The aim of this curatorial residency program is to introduce new international perspectives to the local art community enhancing curatorial research, exchange and discourse in Frankfurt. Resident curators are provided time and space to develop a curatorial program here at basis e.V. By researching and connecting with the different artists, who obtain a studio at basis, the previously prepared abstract concept proposal should be specified into an elaborated exhibition concept. The exhibition will be on view from the middle of September until the middle of November 2022. The period in between the stay and the exhibition time should also be used to further develop and finalize the exhibition.
