(Un)Lust

Embracing the discomfort. Exploring the dislike. Unpleasure is a part of us that we often repress or consider a weakness. Surrender to the desire. Having inner needs. Lust is a magnet that draws us to things.

We invite you to submit your works in the context of the exhibition (UN)LUST. We are looking for artistic positions from all disciplines. Send your applications by mail to unlust@artists-unlimited.de

Please attach a brief description of the position and CV. The selected works will be shown as part of the exhibition in the gallery.

Jury
Ines Könitz, Lotte Reimann, Hannah Flügler

We especially encourage FLINTA*, marginalized groups of people and artists* with disabilities or with migration experience to submit their works.

Call for Web Residencies No. 19 »Algorithmic Poetry.«

For the nineteenth call for web residencies, Akademie Schloss Solitude’s Digital Solitude program is collaborating closely with Liquid Architecture. The Naarm (Melbourne)–based art organization Liquid Architecture supports radical interdisciplinary experimentations offering a platform for artists working with sound – from our everyday data-driven world to the dissonant, beat-driven resonant sounds that defy definition.

The 8th Sea: the disobedience of water

Artists and collectives are invited to submit an artwork proposal for an exhibition that will be organised on the occasion of the Seawomen Parade 2.

The "Seven Seas" is a figurative term for all the seas of the known world. The Greek historian Herodotus believed, as did many of his contemporaries, that the Mediterranean Sea was the centre of the world and the cradle of civilisations, so he identified the seven seas according to his perspective. Through the ages, the Seven Seas have become the fantasy setting of unforgettable voyages and discoveries. By now we know that the Mediterranean Sea is not the centre of the world, just as there are other seas besides it in which stories of pirates, discoverers and adventurers have been told.

Intersectional 5.0

prideART Berlin e.V. is hosting our 5th annual pride-month exhibition Intersectional. Intersectionality in our context relates to giving a platform to LGBTQIA+ artists from all backgrounds an opportunity to show their work as part of a group exhibition. We seek artists who create visual art in all media types and from various social, economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. Our only pre-requisite for inclusion in the exhibition is that the artists identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, the work does not necessarily need to have an LGBTQIA+ social commentary theme.
