This will be a virtual show with a virtual reception on Zoom. It is an international competition.

Juror: Kiko Aebi is a Curatorial Assistant in the Department of Drawings and Prints at

The Museum of Modern Art, a position which she has held since 2019. She is currently working with Christophe Cherix, Chief Curator, on a retrospective exhibition devoted to the work of Ed Ruscha, which will open at MoMA in Fall 2023. She is the recipient of a Fulbright Research Grant and holds an M.A. in Contemporary Art History from Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and a B.A. in Art History and Environmental Studies from Amherst College.

Accepted Media: All fine arts media are acceptable (no crafts): watercolor, oils, acrylic, mixed media, printmaking, pastel, drawing, collage, sculpture, installation art, video (short), photography, original digital art, fiber art. Artist will be allowed to submit up to 6 images and/or 2 videos. Submissions must be the original work of the artist.

Deadline for Submission: December 9, 2022

Entry Fee: $45.00 for up to 6 images and/or 2 videos All artists will be judged on their body of work.

Awards and reception: b.j. spoke gallery will promote the virtual show and display the finalists work on the gallery website ( and social media platforms. The virtual show dates will be February 1st through 28th, 2023. . A Zoom Reception and Awards Presentation will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, for artists, their guests and the public, at which time the award winners will be announced.

NOTIFICATION: Finalists will be notified by January 13th, 2023.

PROMOTION:If selected as a finalist, images of your art, your name, voice, video, artist’s statement and/or bio will be used on the gallery website social media, print and any other publicity used to promote EXPO 42

SIZE LIMITATIONS: There are no size limitations.

Entering the competition implies your consent for b.j.spoke gallery to use your name, artist statement and images of your work in all advertising and publicity for EXPO 42, including but not limited to: print, video, online, and social media.

Fine Art & Craft Fair

June 4 & 5, 2022

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Art League of Long Island’s 53rd Art in the Park Fine Art & Craft Fair is back with an eclectic variety of one-of-a-kind art and craft work created by 85+ exhibitors at Huntington’s Heckscher Park. The fair takes place June 4 & 5, 2022 from 10am to 5pm on the spacious grounds of the park, located at the intersection of Rt 25A and Sabbath Day Path.

The Art League invites artists to submit applications to show and sell their original fine art and fine craft at the fair. Acceptable art and craft include: paintings, sculpture, woodcraft, ceramics, mosaics, fiber art, photography, jewelry, wearable art, glass art, and other unique handcrafted items.

The Art League Invites Fine Artists and Fine Crafters to display and sell their original works at this well-attended juried fair.  About 75 exhibitors participated in last year’s event, with thousands in attendance.

The Art League’s Fine Art & Craft Fairs select only artists and craftspeople who submit sample photos indicating handcrafted works of superior quality. Of those selected to participate, care is taken to ensure a balanced representation of artistic mediums. Mediums accepted include painting, photography, wood works, jewelry, ceramics, pottery, glass art, fiber art, wearable art, printmaking, mixed media, and other hand-made items. At the Fair, prizes are awarded to participating artists and craftspeople with the most innovative designs.  The fair runs from 10am to 5pm both days.
