PAPERWORKS 2024

PAPERWORKS 2024 is an international juried competition. This will be a virtual show with a virtual reception on Zoom.

The juror is Julián Sánchez González, an art historian and a PhD Candidate in Art History at Columbia University in NYC, and a Research Fellow at the Museum of Modern Art's Cisneros Institute.

The competition is for Artists who use paper as their primary medium, works made on paper, of paper or about paper: cut paper, folded paper, woven paper, glued paper, drawings, paintings, pastels, printmaking, photographs, paper sculpture, 3D, bound books, collage, or as the subject of a video and installation.

EXPO 43

EXPO 43 is an international juried competition hosted by the b. j. spoke gallery in Huntington, NY. Finalist’s artwork will be exhibited virtually on the gallery website during the months of February and March, 2024, with a virtual reception and awards presentation via Zoom on February 7, 2024.

The juror is Emily Olek, Curatorial Assistant in the Department of Drawings and Prints at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City

All fine arts media are acceptable (no crafts): watercolor, oils, acrylic, mixed media, printmaking, pastel, drawing, collage, sculpture, installation art, video (short), photography, digital art, fiber art.

Artist will be allowed to submit up to 6 original images and/or 2 videos.

Juror: Kiko Aebi is a Curatorial Assistant in the Department of Drawings and Prints at

The Museum of Modern Art, a position which she has held since 2019. She is currently working with Christophe Cherix, Chief Curator, on a retrospective exhibition devoted to the work of Ed Ruscha, which will open at MoMA in Fall 2023. She is the recipient of a Fulbright Research Grant and holds an M.A. in Contemporary Art History from Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and a B.A. in Art History and Environmental Studies from Amherst College.

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Art League of Long Island’s 53rd Art in the Park Fine Art & Craft Fair is back with an eclectic variety of one-of-a-kind art and craft work created by 85+ exhibitors at Huntington’s Heckscher Park. The fair takes place June 4 & 5, 2022 from 10am to 5pm on the spacious grounds of the park, located at the intersection of Rt 25A and Sabbath Day Path.
