Call for Sculpture Artists! CRE8IV Rockford, IL

The Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (RACVB) works to encourage and enhance cultural life and public art in the Rockford, Illinois region through facilitation, recognition, and financial support of public art. The organization’s Forest City Beautiful initiative includes a Sculpture Biennial consisting of a two-year installation of sculptors’ work for which each artist receives an honorarium of $2,000-$4,000, dependent on size/height/scope of installed selection. The RACVB is soliciting artists for the 2023-2025 Sculpture Biennial.

Jack O' Lantern Pumpkin Walk Through

We are looking for artists of varying talent levels to be part of our team carving 5,000 Jack O’Lanterns starting August 12th.  These are not just any Jack O’Lanterns.  These are meant to be works of art hand carved into faux polyurethane pumpkins. Why so many Jack O’Lanterns? We are working to create a unique half mile trail walk event exploding with thousands of Jack O’Lanterns creating an whimsical experience bringing together art, nature and fall.

Springfield-Sangamon County Transportation Murals RFQ

Sangamon County is pleased to announce a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to professional artists or firms to create permanent original art or installations for one or two public murals that will be located outdoors at the new Springfield Sangamon County Transportation Center in Springfield, Illinois. The project timeline will begin later this summer with final installation in summer of 2022.

Application Deadline: Friday, June 11, 2021 4:30 p.m.

2021 Women in Dance Leadership Conference - Gender Equality for Now and the Future Generations

2021 Women in Dance Leadership Conference is calling for submissions of live choreography (on stage or site-specific), dance on film, scholarly paper, and workshops created by female dance makers. The 2021 conference will take place from 10/21/2021 - 10/23/2021 in Chicago, IL, USA, and the theme for the conference is Gender Equality for Now and the Future Generations.
