The call for entries for the 11th edition of the COMEL Award is open: the international competition promoting the aesthetic use of aluminium.

Each year, artists living and working in one of the European continent's countries are invited to participate by entering an aluminum work. Each year, they are invited to create following a specific theme that enhances one of the characteristics of this metal.

Nostalgia is a feeling that mixes up pleasure and sadness in a perfect balance. Sometimes we feel nostalgic when we experience or see something vaguely familiar, some others when we re-live a collection of memories coming from the past. Studies say that we can become nostalgic even for places we have never visited before. This call wants to collect photographic works revolving around the concept of nostalgia. Close your eyes and think about… what makes you feel nostalgic?

CALL FOR ENTRIES: PERFORMANCE LUCCA BIENNALE CARTASIA --- Paper Performance

LUBICA - Lucca Biennale Cartasia is the most important event celebrating Paper as an artistic and architectural means worldwide. It takes place every two years in the city of Lucca, Tuscany. Founded in 2004, LUBICA made a pledge to promote tradition, culture, sustainability, and innovation. 

The competition is open to professional and emerging artists interested in presenting a performance that involves the use of paper in bold and innovative ways in order to enhance the original features of this material. The selected performances will be added to LUBICA’s programme.

The theme of LUBICA’s 12th edition is “Here and Now: Tomorrow”

Artistic space in the ancient Tuscia (Italy)

International creative artists (emerging, mid-career or established) are invited to participate in an artistic collaboration at a private art studio in Italy. The residence is surrounded by greenery and is located in the ancient Tuscia, an area inhabited since ancient times by the Etruscans, place of great historical charm and tourist attractions between the beautiful city of Orvieto and the Bolsena lake. The accommodation includes the use of space, garden and breakfast. Each round includes the possibility to host two artists simultaneously with their own room and private bathroom for a period of choice of 1 or 2 weeks.
The collaboration may cover the following thematic areas:
1.Human body and psychological introspection on the subject
