Facing Futures Exhibition Open Call

‘Facing Futures’ asks you to create visual art submissions that respond to the future of the ever-changing world around us, what it might look like and how these changes may impact the human experience. Submissions are open to all visual art mediums such as painting, sculpture, photography, video, textile etc.

Please note that applications are free and if your work is selected a fee of £30 is required to exhibit your work in FUSEBOX.

Applications may only submit 1 piece of work per person. Successful artists have the opportunity to sell their artwork. This is up to the discretion of the artist – please note that FUSEBOX will not take any commission for the sale of artworks.

Alternative Night of Experimental Film

After three successful screening events attended by wonderful creators, the Alternative Night of Experimental Film is back - once again inviting submissions of short experimental films and moving image works that will compose the programme for an informal screening in an alternative music venue in Kingston upon Thames, London.

We are particularly interested in works by emerging filmmakers and artists based in London; the aim of the event is to create a platform for conversation and networking for those who are exploring the alternative creative paths through experimental cinema.

Applications for the 10th International Youth Arts Festival are now open

Applications are open to any arts projects or performances involving people aged 5 to 26 years. These may be professional or amateur, and children or young adults may be involved as performers, creators and artists or as producers and event managers.
Applications can feature work of any genre: theatre, music, dance, film, comedy, circus, cabaret, visual arts and more.
Work can be suitable for any age-group, and we are also happy to receive applications from artists aged 26+ whose work is specifically targeted at young audiences.

International Youth Arts Festival Designer Competition

Kingston’s International Youth Arts Festival (IYAF) has launched a competition to find a new designer for its 2018 event.

The festival will be celebrating it’s tenth year in 2018, and the winning designs will feature on promotional material seen by hundreds of thousands of people. The young person selected will receive a prize of £500, and mentoring from a professional designer.

Entrants must be between 16 and 26 years old, and must be able spend some time either remotely or in person, liaising with a professional designer to develop their work in preparation for the festival programme launch in early February.
The deadline for entries is Friday 5th January 2018.
