ISSP Riga Residency 2024

The next call for applications for the ISSP Residency in Riga is now open!

The ISSP Residency is aimed at photographers and artists working with photography and provides an opportunity for concentrated work on a personal project in Riga and surroundings.

ISSP Riga Residency 2023 Open Call

ISSP Riga Residency welcomes photographers, artists and curators working within photography to apply for 1-3 month residency in Riga, Latvia. There are no limitations regarding age, background or photographic style of the participants. The ISSP Riga Residency provides an opportunity for concentrated work on a personal project informed by interaction with Riga and its residents (or elsewhere in Latvia), or much needed time to rethink and complete ongoing work. The residency calendar is based on full month slots, from the first to the last day of the month. In 2023, the Residency is open from the period January – December.

Tomorrow starts today

Gallery “Art Pegazs" invites artists who work in all visual art media to participate in the contest "Tomorrow starts today", organized by the gallery "Art Pegazs" in cooperation with RZ Collection and printing centre “Copy Pro”.

Participation in the competition from the age of 18. All artworks must have been created within the last year. Artists are invited to share their vision on the theme of the contest.

 

20 works of art will be selected in the final of the competition and will be exhibited from 10th December 2020 to 15th January 2021 in the gallery “Art Pegazs” in Riga, Rupniecibas 18. All the artworks of the final exhibition will be promoted online.

Open call. ROJA ART LAB 2019

ROJA ART LAB is an artist-run, non-profit initiative, which provides a creative arena for artists who are ambitious about their work and open to the challenges of an environment that demands experimentation, cooperation and exchange. We are looking for participants who will engage with local community, investigate and reflect on materials and place and utilize innovative uses of various media.

Our residency program is open to all artistic disciplines (visual arts, performance, new media, etc.) and other creative practices including, but not limited to, curation, design, architecture, humanities, social sciences, and science. We strongly encourage applicants with interdisciplinary creative practices.
