Kaunas Photo 2021 Open Call extended until 10 JUNE

KAUNAS PHOTO, the longest-running annual photographic festival in the Baltic States, based in Kaunas, is a platform of premieres of emerging talents. “Photo World” (China) titled KAUNAS PHOTO as a festival on crossroads of European photography. The current objective is to become a friendly festival to its audience as well as to the participating artists.

Open Call for Artist-in-residency programme at Kintai Arts

Kintai Arts is announcing an Open Call for artists, curators and researchers for an arts residency in Kintai in May-June 2021. This residency provides a possibility to live in Kintai while working on an individual project. 

Applicants, willing to apply for this Open Call, are invited to submit their Bio or CV, a portfolio with work samples, and a motivational letter by March 31, 2021, by filling out this form:

Kintai Arts is announcing an Open Call for a month-long residency “Hello, Can You Hear Me? / We will meet again!”. This international multidisciplinary residency invites artists and curators to look for new methods of representation and communication during the Covid-19 pandemic.

KAUNAS BONE CHINA SYMPOSIUM

Our residency program is open to ceramics / sculpture and all artistic disciplines (visual arts, performance, new media, etc.) and other creative practices. We are very interested in new forms and approaches. This symposium will provide a creative platform for experimental workshops where artists from a variety of backgrounds can engage in creative practice using contemporary and traditional forms of ceramic expression. Dialogue between artists will encourage research, experimentation and innovation in art. The theme of this year’s symposium – sustainability. We do offer the material - Bon China, which carries in itself approximately 50 percent of calves bone ash, taken from the agricultural waste.

We are currently looking for foreign artists and partnerships to join Kaunas Adult and Youth Centre (KSJMC) and apply for the Heritage programme Modernism for the Future. 2020-2021 is the time of preparation and the implementation of the European Capital of Culture artistic programme will begin in 2022.
