Indoor call for Lucca Biennale - Paper, Art, Design

LUBICA - Lucca Biennale Cartasia is the world's biggest art event dedicated to paper art. The Biennale takes place every two years, in 2022 it will be held from the 31st of July until September the 25th. The Indoor Exhibition will be composed of 3 main sectors: art, fashion, and performances. Every artist that creates art such as performances, sculptures, drawings, video-art, and much more with paper, cardboard, or its by-products is encouraged to participate in the call.

Call for paper art Outdoor Lucca Biennale 2021

LUBICA - Lucca Biennale Cartasia is the world's biggest art event dedicated to paper art. The Biennale takes place every two years, in 2022 it will be held from the 31st of July until September the 25th. The Biennale is looking for emerging and affirmed artists to work in Lucca, Tuscany, during an artistic residency in July 2022. This call for entries aims to select artworks that involve the use of paper and its by-products to show how versatile this material is: artists that work with cardboard and paper are encouraged to participate in the contest with a challenging and innovative project for a monumental sculpture.

This Call for Entries invites artists from around the world to make themselves heard, by using paper.
The Biennale aims to create motivations and ways of comparison for the artists who decide to get
involved, "to educate” on what is beautiful but also and above all, break the patterns and create new
points of view.

PURPOSE
The contest, open to professional and emerging artists, aims to select works, performances, ideas
involving the use of paper and derivatives focusing on originality and / or a bold, unique and
innovative use. The final selection will include the exhibition of works and the creation of
performances in the venues of the Biennale.

Call for art Outoor at Lucca Biennale 2020

The contest, open to artists, architects and designers, aims to select monumental works of art
involving the use of paper and derivatives, focusing on originality and a bold, unique and
innovative approach. The finalist will have the chance to stay one month in residence in Lucca to create the sculpures.

The final selection will include the exhibition, during the event, of works of
art in the squares of the city of Lucca,Tuscany. At the end of the Biennale the works will
continue to be exhibited and visited inside the historical walls bastions, becoming part of the
Biennale permanent collection.
