Beautiful house with studio for rent in Mexico City

I am an artist living and working between London and Mexico City. From May 2024 my house in Mexico City will be available for rent for up to  one year. The house is in the very heart of Mexico City in Colonia Roma in a gated mews. It is a wonderful oasis in which to make work or write in peace and quiet and absorb the wonders of Mexico City.

The house comprises of:

One double bedroom, en suite bathroom, small downstairs patio, dining room, kitchen, sitting room (with sofa bed), piano, roof terrace with separate office (with foldable guest bed), bathroom and a bright and airy studio.

RSDNART KANKABAL

Within the wider, expansive and free spaces of the Yucatan peninsula, you can find hacienda Kankabal, located about 20 minutes from the Magic Town of Izamal. It is in this place, away from the bustle and wrapped in the original silence, where we hold every year our artists residence.

Kankabal is a space dedicated to creativity, inspiration and creation in harmony with nature. Close your eyes and imagine that you are surrounded by the fruitful land that the ancestors worshiped. This same space of freedom is where we receive artists from all over the world, creative, innovative and visionary people, with the aim of contributing new ideas and experiences to share them with humanity.

RADAR, 8 Opportunities for Artists in Mexico

RADAR is an open call for proposals. All artists can apply with no restrictions on nationality, age, thinking, technique or any other factor. The prize encourages the participation of artists of all levels.

The jury of RADAR is composed by 8 professional galleries, art spaces and art centres interested in discovering new projects to be exhibited. Each of the 8 galleries in jury will choose one artist to realize a solo show. The exhibition can be a prelude to a long-lasting collaboration (many of the artists who won the prize in Italian editions, now work permanently with the galleries that rewarded them). The galleries choose freely and autonomously their own winners and are just required to select artists with whom they had never had previous work relationships.

Bodyscapes, Fragmented and Multiplied Bodies by Gaspar Marquez

"A lot of people dream in black and white, well, personally I don’t, my dreams are bright, fuzzy and obviously in color!” Says photographer Gaspar Marquez, when speaking about the inspiration for his latest photography exhibition, Bodyscapes, presented by The Espejo Organization for the Arts at Rabbithole Gallery. Marquez, who was born in Mexico and learned photography as he wandered through America, creates artwork that explore the perfect asymmetry and infinite world found in the female form.
