“You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read. It was books that taught me that the things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, or who had ever been alive.”  ~ James Baldwin

Writing and reading provides us with the solace of knowing our stories are shared through characters that champion our cause. Seeing the ailments and conditions one grapples with in elaborate descriptive detail and form, further reminds us what James Baldwin conveys in his beautiful quote, that even in our brokenness we are more alike, than we are different.

As a trauma therapist I give priority to cultivating life-affirming creative and spiritual pursuits that inform one's sense of pride and purpose, so as to encourage thriving.

With this intention I am recruiting people for a Therapeutic Creative Writing Group

This 90 minute Group will meet twice/month Sunday @ 5 PM in midtown Manhattan.  Consultation is free and cost for each group is $60.

For registration and details call Rev. Sheri Heller, LCSW 212-594-9801 or email at sheri@sheritherapist.com // sheritherapist.com
