Alex J. Ettl Grant

The Alex J. Ettl Grant is a prize of $5,000 sponsored by the National Sculpture Society.

It is awarded annually to a figurative or realist sculptor who has demonstrated a commitment to sculpting and outstanding ability in his/her/their body of work. The Ettl Grant is for a mature body of work; sculpture created in workshop or instructional settings should not be submitted.  All applicants must be citizens of or residents in the United States with a social security number.

New Contemporaries

dodomu gallery is thrilled to announce our upcoming art exhibition "New Contemporaries," which aims to showcase the cutting-edge works of emerging artists who are pushing the boundaries of contemporary art. The show will run from October 5 - November 23, 2023. 

We are looking for a fresh perspective, daring creativity and innovative ideas. Celebrating diversity, experimentation, exploration of new mediums, styles and concepts in contemporary art. Artists are invited to submit work related to the exhibition theme in various media of drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, photography, digital and mixed media. Contemporary representational and abstract work will be considered. 

WAXworks

WAXworks is a non-curated showcase open to new and seasoned artists. There is no audition process. Applications are accepted on a firstcome-first-served basis. Any kind of stagecraft is welcome; we invite choreography, theater, music, poetry, comedy, juggling, acrobatics, monologues, performance art, or any other form that can be performed on stage.

WAXworks takes place at Triskelion Arts located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn on Calyer St.

WAXworks offers artists an opportunity to showcase up to 12 minutes of work on a professional stage with a full technical capacity, receive anonymous written feedback from a large, diverse and enthusiastic audience, receive professional photo and video documentation of their work, and much more!

Abstract State Magazine

Abstract State Magazine, is a brand-new art magazine based in New York. Our inaugural edition holds a special place in our hearts, as we seek to collaborate with artists who will accompany us on this thrilling journey.

All selected artists will be guaranteed a feature in either the submitted edition or the subsequent one if not initially included. The submission fee is applies if you are 'selected'.

Although there is no specific theme for this issue, we've affectionately named it 'Poetic' because we firmly believe that all the chosen artworks will embody a poetic essence.
 

2023 National Juried Exhibition

Open to U.S. resident artists 18 yrs, or older (Exception: Artists currently represented by First Street Gallery) .  Eligible Works: ORIGINAL  oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, prints, photography, mixed media, assemblage and sculpture in any medium.

Call for Submissions: HEREart

Calling all curators and visual artists!

HEREart, HERE's visual art program, is taking submissions for our 23–24 season. Exhibitions will take place between July 2023 and August 2024 and include curator-driven collaborations between artists, as well as large-scale initiatives by solo artists. We highly recommend visiting our space prior to submitting a proposal so that you can experience the unique and dynamic nature of our space. 

HEREart offers exhibition opportunities to emerging and early career visual artists and curators. We create a multi-layered experience for our patrons that sticks with them as they move through the lobby and hallways, from one space to the next.
