42nd International Exhibition

The San Diego Watercolor Society announces its Call for Entries for the 42nd International Exhibition to be held in San Diego during October, 2022.  The exhibition is open to all water-based media artists. On-line entries only. Juror is award-winning artist Linda Daly Baker, AWS, TWSA.  The deadline for entries is May 8, 2022.  $19,000 in cash and merchandise awards anticipated.  For more information and to view the prospectus visit https://www.sdws.org.  For questions contact ishowinformation@sdws.org. 5th PROUD+ [LGBTQ+ Artists]

PROUD+ is the fifth national exhibition of LGBTQIA+ visual arts running from June 4 - July 30, 2022 at The Studio Door(San Diego, CA).  Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual and other related community artists (LGBTQIA+) are encouraged to present contemporary works that celebrate the unique sense of pride that this diverse community has.  The Studio Door is seeking artwork that expresses authentic, diverse viewpoints from the LGBTQIA+ experience.  Show us what your Pride looks like. 

For the first time, the exhibit will be held for two months concurrent with nationally recognized Pride (June) and San Diego Pride (July).

8th Annuuyal The Crow Show

THE CROW SHOW 2022 is the eight annual, national exhibition of visual arts running from March 3 - 31, 2022 produced by The Studio Door. 

This exhibition continues to be our most popular visual arts exhibit bringing artists from across the nation to celebrate the Crow.  Having taken on mythological importance, Crows appear in all parts of the world.  In folklore, they may foreshadow tragedy or usher in good news.  The reality is a highly intelligent bird capable of social interactions.  In recent years, the crow has become a muse to many artists.  This annual exhibition seeks to represent the many faces of the Crow in reality and fantasy.  Show us what the Crow means to you  [Creative interpretations of all black birds, ravens and other Corvus species are acceptable].
