2023 Getxophoto Open Call

Getxophoto’s Open Call provides an opportunity for visual artists and photographers from all over the world to exhibit their work at the next edition of the Festival, in June 2023. The theme to be addressed in the 17th edition is Pause!

The international jury made up of Elisa Medde (editor-in-chief of Foam Magazine, Amsterdam), Luis Juárez (editor of Revista Balam, Buenos Aires), Jon Uriarte (digital curator of The Photographers' Gallery, London) and María Ptqk (new curator of Getxophoto) will select the projects to be exhibited at the Festival.

OPEN CALL for an ecological co-op art residency in Andalusia

We are looking for artists & art professionals from all disciplines who work in alternative art production and/or whom nature and the surrounding land could be an exciting theme to work on. We offer a space to think, time to develop a new idea or to continue working on an existing project.

YES TO ALL

SMTH in collaboration with MMMAD Festival are proud to present the II International Open Call for Digital Arts under the theme ‘Yes to all’  in Plenilunio Madrid and Vialia Estación de Vigo shopping centers. In this second edition, we are looking for digital artworks that experiment with the space and format where they will be exhibited: SMTH’s large scale screens located in several of the most important shopping centres in Spain. This call will be open from 1 September to 25 October 2022.

V Open Call - Handbali Magazine

Handbali Magazine calls on artists and groups to present a documentary project that highlights natural or urban spaces, as well as the interaction between nature and human beings, to form the fifth print publication of this emerging photography magazine.

Open to participants of any age and nationality, with projects completed or in progress, as close as possible to publication. The participants will commit themselves, in case they have not sent the finished project, that by the date of publication of the magazine it will be ready for presentation.

Only one project per participant or group will be presented free of charge.

Open Call – AADK Spain Residency Program 2023 first semester

AADK Spain invites all artists and researchers who wish to work on the topics of body, territory and/or spatiality to participate in its Artist Residency Program.

Theoretical research projects of any scientific or humanistic discipline are eligible for this call, provided that they have the artistic practice as their object of study.

For this call, priority will be given to projects which have the natural environment as their starting point, explore the topic of animality, and/or reflect on our interdependence with non-human species.
