BIVOUAC

In the centre of Lausanne (Switzerland), the forthcoming transformation of the 50’000 m2 of La Rasude site is the occasion for an ambitious artistic project, LABOR, conceived as an ephemeral urban laboratory. Planned over 4 years, LABOR will bring together artists, architects, universities, the population and experts to reflect on the current and future challenges facing cities. In 2020, the BIVOUAC exhibition proposes a first artistic immersion in the hitherto closed spaces of La Rasude by presenting ephemeral works created specifically for the site. On this occasion, LABOR launches an international call for projects addressed to artists, architects and urban planners as well as to anyone professionally concerned by the development and the fabrication of urban space.

The show will be hosted by the well known Basel Art Center. Their beautiful exhibition hall on street level of 250 sqm divided in 11 white painted exhibition stands will be the most appropriate location for an excellent display of a large variety of media.
