Global Artist Call for Istanbul Fringe Festival 2021 – Hybrid is now open!
The 3rd edition of Istanbul Fringe will take place from September 18-26, 2021 as a hybrid festival. The festival will feature artistic works on-site or online according to the artist’s choice on the form. Only works produced for digital platforms can apply for the online section.

When: 18.9 – 26.9, 2021

Istanbul Fringe Festival 2021 – Hybrid will welcome dance, performance and theater shows including shows for children as well as workshop proposals. The festival will offer both local and international artists a physical and a digital platform to showcase their works. This is a great opportunity for artists to meet and interact between themselves and the audience, exchange ideas while discovering a new artistic network.
Your application will be considered once the application fee is received. The application fee is 25 euros / application.
What we offer:
– Accommodation up to 4 nights in volunteer houses / hostels during the festival (P)
– Meal on the day of your performance (P)
– Public transportation on the day of your performance (P)
– Venue/digital platform, technical support and promotion (P/D)
– 50% of the box-office to be shared equally between all the companies (P/D)
– Free access to all the events in the festival upon reservation (P)

A Retreat in Princes' Islands - Tab Residency Spring Applications

Tab Residency program offers artists a residential space to devote time and focus on creating both individually and collectively. We can no longer offer an exhibition at the end of the residency period since the gallery space has been closed in March 2020.
Duration:
Tab Residency, founded and run by artists, is open to all contemporary artists throughout the year. We accept residencies minimum one to maximum three months long. The residency periods are organized with open calls for six month periods and applications are accepted before the deadline of the open calls.
Accommodation:
The Princes´ Islands is an archipelago off the Anatolian coast of İstanbul, Turkey, mostly car free, naturally and historically preserved area. Ten minutes walk from Büyükada port, the residency building is a shared building with four stories, one floor for the studio spaces, one floor for accommodation rooms, one floor for common spaces such as kitchen and living room, also there is a garden.
Studios:
The residency studios does not contain any specific workshops so they can be used for many kinds of production. The studios are organized considering the needs of each artist. Please feel free to ask for other equipment or tools besides listed, depending on your needs. Disciplines involved can be visual arts, industrial design, fashion, interior design, conceptual art, literary arts, architecture, new media, performing arts (the artist should consider the size of the studio space), multi disciplinary works, any kind of recycle, upcycle or reuse projects.

The residency in Büyükada offers the artists a quiet and peaceful living and working opportunity, very close to the charming chaos İstanbul.
The artist will have the chance to experience the cultural and historical city of İstanbul.
To be able to take part in the contemporary art events and meet local artists.

The Faculty of Art and Design at Izmir Katip Celebi University are pleased to invite you to participate in “International İKÇÜ ART FESTIVAL” on November 17-20, at the IKCU Art Gallery, Izmir, Turkiye. IkcuArt Fest brings together both rapidly growing creative talent and local and international artists under one roof.

The chaotic situation that we are in has led people to revise their communication habits. With the introduction of the phones, the most important communication tool of the 20th century, a communication language of its own has developed. Transportation is now faster but also inorganic. The process starts with "alo" and ends with "see you".
As a result of the epidemic we are experiencing now, people have moved communication to online platforms and this has led to the emergence of a new communication dictionary. "Can you hear me ?" is the keyword that triggers everything and opens up to an endless corridor.
Do I feel like a kind of password that evolves from a limited space to many artificial spaces and for the individual to socialize ...

We are now very excited to launch our artist open call for the 2nd edition: Istanbul Fringe Festival is looking for contemporary and experimental works including dance, performance, theater as well as site-specific works and workshops. Istanbul, a fascinating and historical city built on two continents, is hosting the 2nd fringe festival!
The festival will bring together artworks and workshops produced in the disciplines of dance, performance and
theater during a week in September 2020. This year festival offers both local and international artists a platform to
showcase their work in several indoor&outdoor venues as well as specific sites such as hammams, churches,
market places, old factories located on European and Asian side of the city. This is a great opportunity for artists to
meet and interact between themselves and the audience, exchange ideas while discovering a new artistic network.
